Pragmatic Play has launched its fourth new online slot title for the month of May, with The Magic Cauldron Enchanted Brew transporting players to a world of spells and potions for possible max wins of up to 5,000 times the stake.

The 7×7 grid is set in a brewing room where you’ll find parchment, candles, and books of incantations, potions, and charms. To the left of the grid, you’ll also find a cauldron complete with a ladle that magically stirs itself whenever winning symbols are added as the enchanted brew’s main ingredients.

An enticing soundtrack summons players to try and fill the giant iron pot with the game’s eight symbols, half of which are low-value gems and the other half are high-value potions. In order to form wins, players must land clusters of at least five matching symbols on adjacent reels, either vertically or horizontally. Landing 49 (the most possible) clusters of the premium symbols triggers payouts of 500 times the total stake. Additionally, two types of wilds appear on the grid, one of which substitutes for all symbols except for the other wild.

Collecting symbols

The tumbling reels game engine keeps the action going and winning symbols disappear as new or existing symbols fall from above filling the empty spaces on the reels. This action continues until no more winning symbols are formed or grid modifiers land. Progressive features cause clusters of winning symbols to be added to the bubbling brew and when 25 have been collected, players randomly receive one of the four individual modifiers which are applied to the reels at the end of the feature.

Unique modifiers:

Picked at random, each modifier offers something unique and as many as five can be used on a single spin by gathering 12 multipliers increasing by 1 up to x205 symbols or more. The first four randomly selected modifiers include;

• Befuddlement – magically transforms all high-value symbols into low values
• Invisibrew – vanishes all low-valued symbols enabling new symbols to drop
• Balm of Transfiguration – turns a random low-paying symbol into a high-paying symbol
• Enlarging Ale – a random block of 3×3 or 4×4 sized identical symbols is added in a random position

Multiple wilds:

Players who land a fifth modifier are awarded either the Potion of Darkness feature, which sees all low-value symbols vanish and only high-value symbols appear for the remainder of the sequence; or Unicorn Dust, which places three or four Unicorn Wilds on the grid with multipliers starting at x1 or 2x. The wilds stay on the grid until the spin ends, with their multiplier increasing by 1 up to x20 when used in a win, then relocating to a new position.
